There were about 58,820 centenarians (people who are 100 years old or older) in Japan in 2014. According to a U.S Census Bureau report released in 2014, there were about 55,000 centenarians in the U.S to date, the world's longest living person verified by Guinness World Records is Jeanne Louise Calment (1875-1997), who lived 122 years and 164 days. She once met Vincent van Gogh in person and experienced World War I and II. 

But Today's Society Is Busy.

 

However, In today's society, how many people really die of old age? Many people aged 60, 50, or even just 40 and 30, die from diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Most of these illnesses we called it "rich man's diseases". Although people would say: "we are eating well compare to the past", it does not necessarily mean they are eating healthily. Moreover, work stress and unhealthy living habits like late nights, smoking, and alcohol abuse can cause imbalances in the body's systems and lead to the onset of diseases. Hence, to live healthily to 100 or even 120 years old, the key is in disease prevention.
