You Don’t Feel Well But Your Test Results Are Normal

Our medical technology is not as advanced as people may think. Many illnesses can only be detected at later stages.

Cancer, for example, is a dangerous, subtle disease. Like any other cell, a cancer cell will divide from one into two, from two into four, and so forth. However, cancer cells do not divide at the same rate as other cells, or as fast as bacteria. Some types of cancer cells, depending on how well your immune system is functioning, may multiple every few month. Research shows that for various types of lung cancer, the cancer multiply on average every four to 10 months, while some cells take even longer to multiply.

With our technology today, two-thirds of the history of cancer is , the unknown to the patient or the doctor. A tumor needs to be about 1 cm, consisting of about one billion cancer cells, before we can see it on an x-ray. If we use a better imaging technique, such as a CT scan, it only need to be about 1mm, but by that time, there are about one million cancer cells there.

In fact, the term “early-stage cancer” is a bit misleading as the patient may think the cancer has only happened recently. For example, for a lung cancer to be detectable with modern technology, the cancer has probably been growing slowly for nearly 10 – 20 years. Therefore, if we detect lung cancer at the age of 40, the cancer cells may have already been present in the body since the early twenties.

Lack of Symptoms Mean You Are Healthy?

It takes time for cancer to grow until we can detect it with modern technology. You might not have symptoms, but that doesn’t mean you are 100% healthy. This is the case for many other diseases as well.

For example, hepatitis B will lie in wait inside your body and only cause problems much later on. There may be a “window period” a period in which the infection has occurred, but our modern tests don’t detect it. You may have the virus for about three to six months and not know it. Even worse, you can be infective and spread disease without realizing you’ve been infected.

Let’s take a look at a different disease. The varicella-zoster virus, the virus that causes chicken pox in children, may not be completely eliminated once you recover. It lies dormant inside your body, and you will carry it throughout your life. As you grow older, and your immune system is weakened, the virus can become active again and cause shingles, a disease that causes a very painful rash.

We Start to knowledge our health when we are sick? True or False?

Diseases don't happen overnight, and becoming healthy doesn't happen overnight either.

Do not nourish yourself only when you are sick. Merely focusing on being healthy when you're already sick is too little, too late.

Proper nutrition ensures that newly regenerated cells are healthy. Our red blood cells are replaced every 120 days and cells lining our gastrointestinal tract last about five days. A leukocyte, part of our immune system, has a lifespan of about 5.4 days while T cells last about six months.

If your current cells are not healthy, you need to give your body time for the newly regenerated cells to be healthy. Nutrition doesn't work overnight; it is a n ongoing process, which needs to be practiced every day for maximum benefit. Your cells are like an army of soldiers - you have to feed them well daily, not only when there's war.

To protect your cells, you need good nutrition in the form of plenty of antioxidants, phytochemicals, and polysaccharides. Keep in mind that what you eat helps your body's repair mechanisms.

Prevention Takes Work

You are responsible for your own health. There is no medication in the world that will nourish your cells on a daily basis. Ultimately, it is your choice in the food you eat and your determination that will lead to a quality life. Nutritional Immunology is not merely a science, it is a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle of how diet helps in the prevention against diseases. In the end, do not rely solely on medical science for a good life; you should rely on your daily choices in the food you eat and your dedication to living healthily for a quality existence.
